    Droid x2 wont root.

    Im new to the rooting world.I've never rooted my phone before.i've downloaded all the drivers and one click.I've debugged the phone as well.I only get partial rooting then it stops. I have version2.3.4 .this is driving me crazy,someone please help.

    Which one-click did you try? Also, device has to be in charge mode which messes some up.

    Im using the Pete Souza one-click.I have the phone debugged and in charge mode right now.All its saying is searching for phone for about 2 minutes.

    OK so I was able to root my Droid from a different computer.and downloaded titanium backup.now curious whats safe to freeze,uninstall.etc

    I would recommend doing a full nandroid back up before you modify anything. Then start with freezing some things here and there, if it works out then you could remove them if you feel you want to. If anything happens you that back up to restore.
