Out of the game for a while, recommendations?

Hey all, I bought my OG Droid a while ago, found this forum, and flashed my phone like crazy with roms, 3-4 per week just experimenting. Well, fast forward to today, and I've done nothing with my phone in the realm of flashing for a good six months or so.

Its time for an upgrade, and my sister will be getting this phone. So, I want to load a nice, stable rom on it with decent battery life for the Droid 1. Can anybody recommend to me a rom and kernel that fits this?

I've always had the beat luck with Chevy kernels. As for ROMs, its all preference. Froyo ROMs will likely give the most stability but they are (for the most part) no longer in development.

Are a couple good Froyo ones.

As you can see in my sig I'm currently running CushZero which is a GB ROM, but I've had excellent stability.

Are a couple other good GB ROMs if you decide to go that route.
