Quick question about Motorola A855 (verizon flashed to cricket)

So I ran through the steps to root my phone, then I loaded a custom rom on it. I believe its the liquid rom 2.3.5 gingerbread. Then I flashed it to cricket following the guidlines on the internet (using cdma workshop and all that). Then I get into the OS and edit my APN. I have tried all combos (some say leave the proxy and port fields blank others say use wap.mycricket.com) I got everything working as far as text/calling/3g/mms sending and recieving.

Here is the weird thing. I can send MMS to all phones, and I can recieve MMS from all phones except verizon phones. WTF.... I was thinking maybe it's because it's an old verizon phone but I really have no idea.

Does this make sense to anyone?

If anyone has ANY idea why they think this would happen or if they know of a solution please help me out.
