Milestone Browser and Terminal Emulator

This is a discussion on Milestone Browser and Terminal Emulator within the Droid Hacks forums, part of the Droid Hacking category; How about xScope lite browser in the market place? It's free and pinch and zoom (if you like that sort of thing) seems pretty smooth....

I thought I had the same issue. I kept trying to double tap on the google home, and google news page and got nothing, it wasn't until I click on a link to another page that the multitouch worked. So try to do it on different pages.

yeah, i hate that too busy nonsense

but yes if you follow the first set of commands then the second set should take you back to stock (without multi touch), i have done this and it works for me 100%, but still make a nandroid backup just in case

also here are the commands to go back to multi touch after you have disabled it, so basically if you put on the multi touch browser, dont like it, remove it, and then want to put it back on later

i havent personally tried this, but its just reversing the previous commands so it should work no problem

    abd shell
    su
    mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock4 /system
    mv /system/app/Browser.odex /system/app/Browser.odex.bak
    mv /system/app/Browser.apk /system/app/Browser.apk.bak
    mv /system/app/Browser.apk.mt.bak /system/app/Browser.apk
    mv /system/lib/libmtwebcore.so.bak /system/lib/libmtwebcore.so
    mount -o ro,remount -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock4 /system
    sync
    reboot

edit: and to answer your question, i do not believe it changes anything else, i had everything else the same, doesnt even erase bookmarks or history
I did this but now I can't zoom with pinch or double tap.

well the commands you quoted arent the ones you should have run initially, those were if you had already installed the browser once, the right commands should be on the first page near the bottom
