    Root Access With Z4

    I'm having issues rooting my phone with Z4Mod can someone run me through the steps maybe im missing something it is stuck on running exploit in order to obtain root access and stays there. Sometimes when i try it again it says aquiring root shell and gos back to the main screen and its not rooted what is the deal here?

    Are you on Froyo 2.2 or GB 2.3? The D2G recently received the GB update, which is not rootable by z4root.

    According to the other thread started in the Hacks section they are running 2.3.3 so that is correct. Z4 will not work on your current OS.

    I am not 100% familiar with the d2g but I believe you will either have to SBF back down to 2.2 and then use z4. Or I just checked and you can root 2.3.3 using the new D3 One-Click Method.
