probably not, most people who are rooted have ota's blocked

# mv /system/recovery-from-boot.p /system/recovery-from-boot.p.bak

blocking updates requires renaming the otacerts file.

Search for otacerts on the forum and should find the directions listed.

not necessarily, there are still ways to root and not properly block ota's, if you do what i posted from sholes.info it will assure that you have them blocked
