Old Droid Use - Strictly Music Player

Im hoping this is the right place for this. I have an old droid that i plan on using as a music player that im prolly goin to mount in my car. I was gonna take the battery out and build a little power supply for it so whenever the car turns on, the phone will turn on. Is there any lite roms i could run that i could run so theres a short boot time or maybe some other possibility that would help me do this?

I know sourcery has an option to kill boot up animations, which shortens the boot up time.

Why would you take the battery out? Wire a 12v charger to a switched power source. If you leave the battery in, the phone wont have to boot up every time. The battery will keep it alive while its parked and as soon as you turn the key on music will begin to play.
