    Help Installing ROMS using ROM Manager on Droid X

    I rooted my droid x and i am having trouble downloading custom ROMs. When i select i ROM to download it reboots my phone, and nothing happens. It goes right back to the way it was before. It also is not allowing me to back up my current ROM. If i click back up current ROM it restarts my phone and thats it. Nothing is changed and when i go to manage and restore ROMS there is nothing there. Please help!

    If I remember correctly, you'll need the Droid X bootstrap to load a custom ROM on the Dx. And DO NOT use ROM Manager....just reboot to recovery manually.

    If I do use the bootstrap app do I have to put rims on my sd card or are there any I can just download. Sorry if I am asking stupid questions, im really new to this.

    I think it will work with ROM manager, but I really wouldn't recommend doing so (especially since you have a locked bootloader). ROM manager has been known to mess up downloads and send phones into bootloops. IF you experience such on a Dx, you'll have to SBF.

    I highly recommend just loading the ROMs to your SD card and just managing them manually via the Bootstrap.

    Ok thanks. I only have a 2gb sd. Would I need a bigger for the roms?

    ROM downloads typically aren't THAT big, but if you load a couple + have some nandroid backups, you might want to get an 8 or 16 GB card.
