New To Rooting...just a few quick questions

Hey, I didnt see the answers FAQs/ stickies, but theyre fairly easy to answer, I would think.

1. Is there a one click root option for the mytouch 3G slide?
2. Is there a way to back up everything on my Android to my PC? (in case I get brcked in the process).
3. If I do brick my phone, is there any way to recover it?

Guess I should include that im with T-mobile, not sure if thats important.

1. You can try Z4root, SuperOneClick, Gingerbreak.

2. Yes. Put your SD card in a card reader and just copy the files over to your desktop. There's a micro-SD card adapter you'll probably need to buy if you don't have it.

3. As long as your phone has an open bootloader, there's really no way you can brick it permanently.
