I've been thinking of more tweaks to add... like wipe battery stats, wipe dalvik, incorporating the "bulletproof background apps" tweak...

Another one is the 3g speed boost tweak.

Awhile ago I had used 3g speed tweaks using build.prop.
Tonight I've been messing with 3g tweaks again and it actually works when using local.prop too...

So... if you want to play...

Install the speedtest.net app and do a few test runs...

Maybe browse a few web pages and see how quick they load...

Then put this in local.prop (with a blank line at the end....)

ro.ril.hsxpa=3
ro.ril.gprsclass=12
ro.ril.hep=1
ro.ril.enable.dtm=1
ro.ril.hsdpa.category=28
ro.ril.enable.a53=1
ro.ril.enable.3g.prefix=1
ro.ril.htcmaskw1.bitmask = 4294967295
ro.ril.htcmaskw1 = 14449
ro.ril.hsupa.category = 9

reboot and run speedtest again a few times... load some web pages...

If it works as good for you guys as it does on my phone I'll put in V8

hey i'm back to froyo, and tasker tells me i'm getting low on memory...there's no reason this wouldn't work on froyo right?

It's great on froyo... I was on CM6 when I started this thing

Does the 3g script work and were can I get it?

In post 370 I put up a script... copy and paste it into script manager and when you run it, it will automatically edit your local.prop file

You should do between 5 or 10 runs before and after and compare.
Any hiccup can happen during one run on either side

Try 7 tests before without moving around, figure the average, then apply it, reboot, do 7 more tests and see the average, depending on how strong your signal is anyway the results can be more subtle...like mine the speeds before would vary all the way from 900 dl up to 2500 but after mine are all about 1700-2500, not faster for any 1 test but just a higher average

After super charge there are supposed to be 20 entries to the local.prop I end up with 21, the last being the "ro.home_app_adj=1"
I also did the 3g tweak and now ro.home_app_adj=1 is at the bottom again.
I remember awhile back when adw ex came out I read on this forum about making it read ro.home_app_adj=0 to help fix redraws.
Is it supposed to read =1?
Either way just a question, this script has helped my phone a lot!
