Using Droid as USB webcam
I searched and have seen this asked before but its been a while and didn't see any direct resolution yet. Does an app exist that allows you to use the Droid as a USB(or even wifi or bluetooth) webcam? If not, is that app possible to make even? This is just for things like AIM chat, not looking for anything too fancy, I'm just too cheap to go to BestBuy and spend $30 on one when my cellphone is magic and from the future.

It hasn't been done on g1 yet or any android device so I doubt its possible

If you are willing to use ustream then you can broadcast using your phone camera but I haven't heard anything outside of that. I have tried it and it does work well.

Qik is awesome. Give it a try.

those are both really good and atleast give me some sort of webcam capabilities which is great
still not exactly what im lookin for. since they are their own sites, i cant exactly use them elsewhere, like stickam
i suppose this will at the very least hold me off until i decide to spring for a real webcam

It's bound to be feasible...all the components are there. I'm not a programmer, but I'd imagine all that needs to happen is have the CPU be able to read the Droid's camera as a webcam independent from the phone. We shall see...

Bambuser works too. In fact I like it better than Qik.

Qik is awesome, especially since they updated it for Droid users and took advantage of the high res video quality. Before that, it still seemed nice but the video looked like crap.
