About LinkBacksthe feature set of google voice is appealing.
I already have my single google voice number, but I'd like to set my droid to use my google voice as my voicemail. The menu structure seems to be there to support something like this, but the only option is carrier provided VM.
Any thoughts on this?

11-09-2009 01:28 PMGo to your Google Voicemail and setup your CELL number to have its OWN Google Voicemail. Then GV will give you instructions on how to forward calls for Verizon.
I believe its *71(GV NUMBER) and then Send/Talk.
**NOTE**: Forwarding to GV uses airtime minutes as the person leaves you a voicemail. -

I believe it's on a per-line basis, and you'll want to turn off the auto-login.
If you can't figure it out, reply and i'll walk through it. I've had this set up for a while.--Nate

12-19-2009 11:54 AMTried searching several threads and google, but I have done the steps to activate Google Voicemail on my Droid yet it does not showing up as an option under settings on the phone. I only have "My Carrier" as an option. Does this take time to become available and activate on the phone side?
I don't think I missed any steps, as I was pretty diligent (I hope) on searching the forums first. -
