    Ynot914, You should have the sholes_info-1.0-RC1.rom.tgz file on the root or top level of your SD card. Then boot reboot into recovery and choose Install>Install from SD card>sholes_info-1.0-RC1.rom.tgz. It will then run the installation and ask you if you want to delete /data or not. Then it will ask you what components you would like to install. Should be pretty simple. If you need further help pm me.

    I am trying to do this on terminal but i cant find my flash_image, where would i find that?

    Wireless tethering wasn't working for me either. I was able to launch it from a shell though.

    cd /data/data/android.tether/bin
    sh tether start

    When I started it that way, even though it started, there was an error trying to access the tether file. So I ran:

    chmod 700 tether

    And it now works starting from the phone.

    Does the chmod 700 bin listed, only apply to the directory and not the files within it. Or did I mess something up and simply fixed my mistake?

    EDIT: Nevermind. I was following the directions from the Sholes site and it says to run chmod on the bin directory. But in this thread if says to chmod the files.

    I had probs with swype also, reinstalled without and all looks good. Eagerly awaiting rc2 with wifi tether and swype working out the box

    sorry this is stupid but what happens when the ota comes out if I install this rom? can ieasily upgrade to the ota or what? thanks

    This release, blocks the OTA. So at that point you can restore and accept the OTA, or wait for the newest ROM from the the sholes site.
