i did everything you were supposed to do but when i booted into recovery i was not able to do anything because i am still stuck in the clockwordmod recovery v1.8.0.4
Thank you for posting the information on how to manually get the phone back to stock but if I'm not mistaken this will do everything for you:
How to unroot/unbrick (take it back to stock) guide
I was rooted with Bugless Beast 2.1 as well as update 2.1 (not to be confused with Bugless Beast *version 2.1*) and was having some issues with some apps and decided to just start from stock. I saw this thread and was trying to follow the instructions when I got stuck on the step where I'm supposed to do an advance restore with the virginoem backup. I had clockworkmod installed and could not get it to load the virginoem backup files when the phone was stuck on the initial "M" load screen. Tried pulling the battery but it would not get past the initial "M" loading screen and remembered seeing the guide above to unbrick a phone in circumstances such as mine. Once I followed all of the instructions I was back to the stock 2.0.1, no root, no mods, no recovery programs (clockworkmod), and it was just as if I had unboxed the phone with the exception of the data on the SD card (which was all still there). All one has to do is plug in the USB cable, mount the card, and erase whatever extraneous data was created after the phone was purchased.
Hope this helps anyone stuck with clockworkmod or wanting to unroot and get back to stock quickly!![]()
Go to the post linked directly above yours. I'm downloading that file now and the link from there is still good.
I had been wondering where to find this file. This is the one you want if you ever have to return to stock completely and even get rid of SPRecovery or Clockwork.
The virginoem-Backup.zip will not restore for me.i am running 2.3.2 ultimate droid
how do i get this to work? Please help me i want to trade this phone in.
Thanks!
The link to 2.0.1 update.zip no longer works. Anyone know of an updated link? Couldnt find anything with a quick google search.

Can the OP or someone please tell me what recovery this is done in ? I have clockwork and the steps in the OP will not work on clockwork.
EDIT: Nevermind, figured it out. Just flashed RZRecovery over clockwork and did it from there.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am using ClockworkMod Recovery v2.5.0.1 and cannot get past this step:
Reboot into recovery
Pick Backup/Restore > Advanced Nandroid Restore > Backup
Select the virginoem-backup
Your screen will jump back to the previosu screen, but you should now see virginoem-backup as such:
It will show my backups from before but nothing from the virginoem folder. I have double checked that it is in the right location and unzipped and it is. Not sure what to do. Need to return the phone as the screen is dying on the left side. I attempted to flash the recovery.img using terminal but it says no img found. The img is on my root folder (Enamed recovery.img
I am at a loss. Any help would be fantastic. Thanks guys!
