wifi for d1 to the nook color???

im pretty new to the world of rooting, but my d1 is successfully rooted. that being said i have a nook color that needs wifi to do anything but read with it. i have barnacle wifi tether downloaded, but my nook does not seem to pick up the signal.

am i doing something wrong? should i use something different? i really want to root my NC but not having wifi where i live it would be useless unless im out and about where wifi is available.

any advice would be greatly appreciated

First off to the forum. I use Wireless Tether and it works fine. I would keep trying different apps until you find one that works.

still dont work ive been working on it for probably 2 hours and my nook still does not pick up the wifi...

is your nook rooted??? should i root mine and then will it work?

Nook won't see the ad-hoc network your Droid creates stock. Even rootung the nook doesn't change things until you mod the wifi system file. Someone hacked a file you can push to a rooted Nook via adb or using a file manger on your nook that replaces a wifi system file allowing it to see ad-hoc.
