Strange SU problem

This is a discussion on Strange SU problem within the Droid Hacks forums, part of the Droid Hacking category; So when I adb shell into the phone i can SU no problem but when in terminal emulator on the phone i get uid 10075 ...

    Strange SU problem

    So when I adb shell into the phone i can SU no problem but when in terminal emulator on the phone i get uid 10075 not allowed to SU. any ideas whats going on here? I would think i lost my SU. but it works fine in ADB Shell.

    Seems I just lost my SU... rerooted and fine.

    This happens if you don't push the "su" file to the phone. The root method you used probably only enabled root via adb..you need to get the su file and put it on your phone to get su support directly from the phone (such as with the terminal emulator).

    There are some instructions on how to do this somewhere on this forum...
