You guys might want to install and launch "Home Switcher" and then go to the original home, then remove all the widgets on the main home before you install them on the launcher2 screen.

The horizontal mode works if you open the keyboard ...

why would you want to do that? if you don't choose "Home" when rebooting it doesn't load the original Launcher. I'd prefer to keep my previous defaults so when 2.1 is available I can uninstall all of my ported 2.1 apps and do a nice clean update.

You know, after I posed the removal question it hit me that it would have to go back and our settings would be saved, after all it's only switching back to another co-existing launcher... good to know though.

Yeah, I found hitting the dots is a great alternative for fast switching too.

oh wow, this is sick! why even the need to install the 2.1 OS? Even the cards work....this is fantastic. the only thing that would make this perfect is landscape support...but to be honest, landscape on the homescreen is kind of annoying anyway.

No you aren't, you are 99.99% Happy, I know you too well, it would take having the LiveWallpapers app before you are really 100% Happy :-)

I'll say this though, i am a complete Apple fanboy... the Droid is SO good that I havent even touched my jailbroken iPod Touch since I got my Droid. I'm kinda nervous about that since I'm an Apple shareholder...maybe it's time to sell?

The effect only works on the ones made for the app. I am sure there will be more made in the future by some of the smart developers. Maybe someone will even make an app that works with your own custom wallpaper, but it is not a simple task.

Also the Livewallpapers "interact" with screen touches etc, cool stuff.

We'll all still be at 99.99% because we'll all still be on the lookout for something new to throw on it hehehehehe...

Of course, as soon as we all get 2.1 for real we will start jonesing for 3.0 etc. BUT, that is part of the fun of the Droid... new stuff makes the phone all new and exciting again, and again and....

Well, I installed it. Thought something was wrong when it seemed to take forever for Astro to install. Then, when I thought I hit the home button, I really messed up, but it appears somehow I managed to instruct it to install again with Astro. Now I get to re-do my home screens again. I really like the live wallpaper and the new app drawer features. 5 Home screens...woo hoo! Will be happier around 4:00 when I send backinblack a Google Talk message with a hi-five for our Steelers win.
