    back to stock, but keep OC, and a theme?

    is this possible? i have been rooted and rom'd for a year. want to get back to stock android but OC it and theme it. is this a posibility without running a rom? currently running UD 2.5 and using sprecovery.

    You can have stock and just root in order to stay overclocked.

    The short answer: No. In order to overclock or modify system files (necessary for themes) you must be rooted

    yeah, im fine with being rooted. i dont want to be rom'd anymore. i want to be stock, overclocked, and themed if that possible. how can i get back to stock, keep root, and which kernals work on stock froyo?

    Overclockong is no problem as that's kernel related, not ROM related. To truly run stock with a theme, you would need to install one of the OTA updates and modify framework-res.API and whatever else you want themed manually. Any "stock" ROM you install that's themed won't technically be stock. Kind of a catch 22 thing going on here...cause of you take a stock build and theme it then well...lol.

    I dunno...I've been at the hospital all day dealing with idiots so my mind is fried.

    ok thanks, for now how can i get back to stock with root so i can install a kernal. i'll see how that runs for a while.

    Follow these instructions, let all the updates run, reroot and there ya go. This is what I just did about 3 hours ago. After updating you will have stock 2.2.2, then just reroot.
