HTC Droid incredible 2.2 for Verizon

Ok how in the world do I root my phone an easy way. I cannot seem to get Z4root to work nor any other program. Any help would be appreciated.

I suppose you didn't try Unrevoked? How to root stock 2.2 using unrEVOked 3.32

I did try that program but it always stayed on please connect phone and that was it. I never could get it to see my phone. Also where do you find the driver everybody keeps telling me to download so my computer will see the phone also. Thanks in advance.

Did you click the link I gave you, cause it has the driver in the OP.

First off I don't see the thank you reply I sent for your help on my phone issue which worked I might add. The other question I have is how do I know if I am running the most updated root files available for my phone? Or should I say kernal? Is there a list somewhere or is it just something you run up on. I am currently running the file you gave me now if that has anything to do with the kernel I don't have a clue. Thanks in advance for your help.
