Droid X Overclock Issues

Hi guys,

I noticed while using the Ultra low and Low voltage profiles with clock settings of 1000, 800, 500, 300 that the CPU temp would increase by 2-3C. Also, battery life will decrease by a noticable amount.

My goal is to increase battery life, so I tried setting up a profile and set it to a max of 600Mhz when the screen is off. However, it would set the max clock to 600 in all conditions, not just when the screen is off.

Anyone have any insight as to what might be going on?

Are you using SetCPU? Make sure you set to whatever you want max clock to be on the Main tab. Do you have any other profiles? The highest on the list takes priority, so keep that in mind.

I forget the DX and D2 have that overclock app too. I think it's set up pretty similar, but you might get more qualified answers in the DX hacks or Tech Issues forums.
