Exclamation Screen unresponsive to certain inputs?! Weird

Just updated to Ultimate Droid 3.0

Now i had 2.5 running prior, and im pretty sure I had this issue before I updated. Certain things in landscape or portrait mode wont work, but will work in other mode.

    for example

i cant bring notification drawer down in landscape mode
    but i can in portrait

i cant use the delete button in portrait, but my physical delete button the keyboard works

I cant hit send in portrait, but if I open in landscape it works

I cant clear in landscape, but i can in portrait

I uninstalled swype and reinstalled it, didnt work, I also tried using the stock keyboard to no avail

NOW! one thing that was on my mind, i decided to wipe my phone down with alcohol a few days prior to this, not soaked, but dipped a napkin and ran it across the screen, could this possibly have done it?

the thing is, other UI buttons in the same spot work, my widget for time is in the SAME spot as the clear button, and it works
also my onscreen delete button is the same spot as my facebook app, and that works also!

    help!!

my onscreen keyboard now also dosent respond to input for P, L or M
its like a area affect, but it dosent make sense cuz the screen in that area works? why does switching from landscape to portrait make a difference?

    should i reinstall the ROM?

    Same issue

I have the EXACT same problem with those letters and the delete key. I tried rubbing alcohol, also tried betting the hell out of it which actually worked but then it went back to the way it was. Did you ever come up with a fix? It has to be hardware related, like a lose connection?

Oh and its only when vertical, the rubbing alcohol worked great for a while then stopped working as well.
