Did I lose root?

After trying many Roms on my phone, I decided to go back to stock due to the instability some Roms have. Now heres where (I think) the problem is. I had made a backup way back in July or so, running stock Android 2.1. I decided to flash this backup and work from there. So after flashing the backup, i got a notification for Android 2.2. and updated to it. After the installation, i received another notification for 2.2.1 and updated to that. Did I lose root while switching from 2.1 to 2.2? I still have the superuser app but it does not load. In rom manager i cannot do anything as an error message pops up saying "Cannot run the privileged command". In SetCPU I get a message saying it could not obtain root access. I have tried factory wiping but this does not help. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Damn, I rooted the easy way too! Easyroot one click root. Haha. Im still quite the rookie when it comes to this stuff. I usually let Rom Manager take care of me.

There may be some one-click root apps for 2.2.1, I'm not for sure though

Try z4root,and if you have a droid1, try liquid gingerbread!

I'm actually looking into Z4 right now. Could you explain what liquid gingerbread is?

I don't think z4root will work with 2.2.1, I may be wrong. Liquid gingerbread is a Gingerbread (2.3) rom by the Liquid team

I'll look into Z4 more. And I'm looking to stay stock right now, nothing more stable than stock.
