Out of Memory Error
Has anyone found a reliable way to fix the mtd: re-read error at [hex address] (Out of memory) error when manually flashing a recovery image? I used to fix it by executing erase_image recovery but that doesn't seem to fix it any longer. I've also tried flashing SPR and then manually flashing CWM but I still get the same errors.
What confuses me even more is that Rom Manager seems to flash CWM with no problem. How does that happen?

I'm having the same issue. I'm afraid to erase my recovery right now at the risk of having NO recovery. As it stands right now, I can boot into recovery, but cannot mount my SDCard within recovery. To the best of my knowledge, that means I can't flash new ROMs, kernels etc. Also looking for a fix.

use a sbf recovery only to flash a recovery.... raidzero has clockwork mod sbf's on his rzrecovery thread.

SBF method got Raid0's recovery loaded, but I still can't flash a new ROM. When I try to mount the SDCARD I get the following error:
E:Can't mount dev/block/mmcblk0p1 (or /dev/block/mmcblk0)
(I/O error)
Mounted /sdcard
However, if I click on "Install" I get this error:
E:Can't mount dev/block/mmcblk0p1 (or /dev/block/mmcblk0)
(I/O error)
E:Can't mount /sdcard
Edit: Removed and then reinserted the sdcard. Rebooted and without trying to mount the sdcard first, clicked install and installed new rom/gapps/kernel successfully. Currently letting all of my apps download and install. I'll report back here if subsequent nightly installs have the same error.
@jeffv2: I think I owe you.

How hard is it to make your own sbf?
