Is there any thing that I can do at this point? I got a phone through insurance a few weeks ago but I dont want to send it back if it is booting the CM bootloader. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Put it in a bag of rice and dry it out

if drying it out doesnt work id say soak it even more to the point to where it doesnt even turn on?? lol
waiting for it to dry out is prob the best move here .... if the hardware functions when it dries out, you should be good to go. if not you're really sort of out of options except insurance replacement...
also...just to clarify...there is no "cm bootloader".
CM = cyanogenmod, the name of a (totally awesome and very popular) ROM
CW = clockwork / clockworkmod recovery, an custom recovery image used for backups, partition mgmt and flashing new ROMs (yay!)
Bootloader = the one, the only bootloader for the Droid 1, used for flashing .sbf files onto the phone outside of the OS
...now you're "up" on the jargon
good luck!
You could always get really mad at it and lose it. File a claim for lost phone not damaged. I think the deductible is higher, but better then sending it to them the way it is now.
