[help] Milestone 2 Bricked?!

Hi,
I tried to install a Droid 2 Rom (Liberty) on my Milestone 2, because i thought they were the same phones. fail #1

After installing it, the phone loaded the logo (Liberty) and then became black albeit illuminated.

I managed to get to the bootloader 70.12 by holding up + power button.

Im downloaded what I believe to be a milestone 2 SBF (sbf:milestone2 [And Developers]) and have rsdlite and 32b drivers at the moment but need further instructions to unbrick this brand new phone that I bought a week ago.

EDIT: Well, I tried to use RSDLite with a milestone 2 sbf.. and it failed.
am i screwed?

Maybe maybe not. Is it a Milestone one or two?

Wait--- you have a recovery manager of some sort installed i would imagine anyways... use it and goto factory resetm then wipe cache, then reboot. Please let me know if this works.

My phone is stuck on black screen,
the liberty logo shows for a few seconds then i get black screen... that's it. i can't make calls much less run any recovery managers. (or maybe there are commands i can run at the bootloader screen?)

i can boot to the loader menu but that's it. milestone 2

In order to access the Recovery Menu....

Hold The "X" key on the Keyboard while pushing the power button. Hold till the image comes up....then press the "@" key.

Selecet wipe cache, as previously asked in the thread.
See if that fixes your issue!

IF NOT: Repeat the steps and wipe all the cache and factory reset! ;)

my problem was fixed by flashing my phone's SBF with the lastest version (4.9) of RSD Lite

GLAD to here you got it fixed!!! You may want to remember what i typed, it will come in VERY HANDY! ;)

i have the same problem, flash rsd lite send error... what sbf use u for unbrick??

His issue was not the sbf, but the version of RSD Lite that he was using. Go download RSD Lite 4.9 , then uninstall old verison of drivers and RSD Lite. Reinstall all newest in this order...

RSD Lite
Motorola USB Drivers....version at least 4.8

Then plug phone in, after you already put phone in bootloader mode. Then launch RSD Lite, and flash your sbf. The link to his is posted above! ;)

I tried to restore my phone by following your instructions step by step, as i have the same problem you had. But while I put my phone into bootloader mode, he tells me that the portable as low battery and that he cannot programm, so the rsd programm do not recognize my phone. Of course I charged my phone for hours but still the same message.

Any idea how to solve this?!
