data throttle mod for FRG83D?

Ive been looking, but can only seem to find data throttle mods for custom roms. Is it possible to perform this on a stock 2.2.1 FRG83D rooted droid,
kernel 2.6.32.9-g68eeef5android-build@apa26#1 . Any thoughts?

I can build one for you if you do me a favor.

Use root explorer, and go to /system/framework and extract the service.jar file out of there. Then host it somewhere (mediafire) and PM me the link. Ill download it...mod it...reupload and send the modded link to you.

Do lots of research cuz it really doesn't do anything if your on an unlimited plan. Verizon has no said "throttle" look in metiCkOne scetion there's a thread and an explanation.

dav, I don't always trust what's stated by the service... Besides, I'd like to see an increase on wi_fi, which is my heaviest use.

I got your PM. I have not seen the classes.dex file in the services.jar from the stock frg83d, but if any rom is as close to that, it would be metickmod or davros mod...frg83d roms. I believe they both are based off the latest OTA patch from verizon.

Someone correct me if Im wrong.

I will gladly do one for you if that is the case, or you could try to use the one from the metiCKone forum for his and davros's roms.

Hey yak thanks for editing my services file for me worked like a charm, I got an increase in both wifi and 3g speeds. Thanks for your help I didn't want to have to install a ROM just to get rid of the datacapping.

Any way I can get a link to that file? I'm on the rooted stock droid and I think I'm capped. Iv checked speedtest.net and, well its not good.
