    Question Motorola Droid not updating

    I have had my phone for a long time and it wasn't until about 2 months ago is when I decided to root my phone. I have little knowledge on how my phone works behind the scenes. I am posting this because I have searched already for my solution, but it seems difficult with my specific version, rom, and phone. I rooted my Motorola droid 2.2 FRG22D (Using Bugless beast v0.5 Rom) and when it asks for a system update (3.4MB), I try to update my phone, when it restarts the loading bar gets about 1/3 of the way until it says:

    Finding update package...
    Opening update package...
    Verifying update package...
    E:failed to verify whole-file signature
    E:signature verification failed
    Installation aborted.


    Any solutions?

    Your recovery stopped the update from installing, if you want the official update you will have to unroot. Most of the newer roms are already on 2.2.1 so I would recommend flashing one of those
    Here's a link if you do want to unroot Unroot/Back to Stock (2.2) Without .sbf or RSD Lite - Droid 1 Only
