Wireless tether

I got the wireless tether app from the market and when I try to tether it to my iPad, my iPad sees it and connects to it fine but when I try to do something(safari) it says there's so Internet connection. So I'm guessing there's some setting in the wireless tether app that is making this not work but I don't know what to look for

Make sure you are using a kernal or ROM that supports wireless tether such as CM6 or Chevy No.1

The tether app will not work with the stock rom!!!

the kernel is the biggest reason that the tether doesn't work ! also getting the tether to connect to the internet is another task! its just about stopping it turning it off n back on trust me it can be a pain in the #$* but it will connect if the kernel is correct
