Launcher Pro Modification?

I changed the little triangle on the calendar widget for Launcher Pro Widgets and now I need to reinstall the app. I was told to delete Launcher Pro from my phone and them push the .apk that I updated to system/app. How do you do this? I went into Root Explorer and copied the app from my sdcard and tried to paste it into system/app and it would not work. Does anyone know how I can do this? I cant stand the little grey triangles on the calendar widget its hard to see. I want something like orange.

In order to paste it inside /system/app you have to press mount R/W before you can paste it. Once you press that, it will paste. Then change the permissions. Long press, press permissions and select the first column of boxes and the top one on the second column. All other boxes will be unchecked. But, have you tried installing it with Astro first? You probably dont even need to put it in /system/app

The only options it gives me is uninstall and launch. I tried uninstalling Launcher Pro and then went into Astro and thenn install. It would not install. Any suggestions?

If it's asking you to launch or uninstall then you have it already installed. Make sure it's uninstalled. If it wont install through Astro which is weird, then copy in /system/app and change permissions, then reboot.
