    Is it impossible to root a Droid that's already running 2.1?

    Is it impossible to root a Droid that's already running 2.1?

    I have tried many of the guides for rooting and cannot get su access. It gives me this error when I run the update.zip file:

    "e: can't open/cache/recovery/command"

    Please help!

    If you are running the 2.1 rom it should be rooted already... can you open a terminal and type su?

    I'm sorry, I found out I am running 2.0.1 but I still cannot get su access.
