How can you stretch the animation to be full screen?

yes, edit the desc.text file so it is 480 854....but...it will make the animation look weird if it was not made to be full screen. the only way around that is to edit each frame to the right size

ok so when i push a new bootanimation does it overwrite the current one or when i change it again and again am i going to have to start removing the piles of unused ones?

It overwrites the current one. If you are bushing to /data/local then the one in /system/media will still be there and if you want to revert back to it you can just delete the one /data/local.

so can you give me what I need to type in on my terminal to change this? and do I just put the bootanimation.zip in the root of my sd card

side note: I am on windows 7 so it simply says bootanimation without the .zip on the end. Idk if that would mess up the command or not. Thanks!

Put the bootanimation.zip in your sdcard root.
Unmount your sdcard from the pc and disable usb storage via the droid.
Then just open your terminal on the droid and type the following:

 
dd if=/sdcard/bootanimation.zip of=/data/local/bootanimation.zip

Still doesn't work for me ! :/
