    ROM Manager

Is it just my phone or am I the only one that has trouble with rom manager.... I have a heck of a time flashing different recoveries, I've tried many different senerios (sp) do it three times and it says that im in the recovery that I selected, but then it won't boot into recovery I've even tried clearin the cache and data and reflash the recovery and nothing. Used fix permissions etc, etc. maybe I should delete it and
re install IDFK.....Does anyone else have these troubles ????
Maybe the paid version is better ???? Or cold it be the ROM i'm using ???

Did you root before or after the FRG22D push? How did you root?

And paying for ROM Manager gives you no benefits whatsoever if you're already installing things manually. It just provides an easier avenue to get things downloaded to your phone. However, ROM Manager TO THIS DAY keeps screwing up downloads, installs, and even your recovery image. Do you really want to pay for that?

I've had issues with it too...I just clear the download cache, and flash clockwork recovery..usually an older version..and it will work.

I rooted before FRG22D and not with easy root. And that's kinda what I thought about Rom Manager. I really don't like Clockwork recovery, I have always used SPRecovery. It's just that some roms say to install with Clockwork and some of the theamers themes won't install with SPRecovery. But I have basically been only using UD's roms, so it's no big deal to not use Clockwork. Just have used it a couple of times and ever time I flash to clockwork when I do finally get it to recover in clockwork then it's a crapshoot to get it back to SPRecovery. Just seems to be a really unstable program to use. I have deleted it from my apps and thinking about deleting it again' no better than it works....And I have cleared the cache and that seems to help somewhat, but I've never tried to flash an older clockwork.

Little tip. Anyone who says "only use Clockwork" uses Clockwork and won't test with SPRecovery. There's nothing you can't flash in SPRecovery that you can in Clockwork except a Clockwork backup.
