    Droid 1 phone?
Do you have a nandroid backup you can restore to?
    Is your battery charged?
If BB was working, what did you try to install, and using which method?
    Chris

If you apply a rom or theme - backup first!
If you don't know how to backup...Stop until you do.
hint: I name my backups like this: sg6.0_20100428 or ss4.2_20100626 to easily find them later. rom and date.

It's not bricked. I was at that point once and I researched here and found that if I download RSD Lite and an SBF(?) file, I could push it and get the phone back to stock. From there it would get the Verizon update, I'd root, then restore to where I was prior.

When you reboot holding the UP on the directional pad, does it prompt for programing?

    bb, for Bugless Beast, sorry.

A mismatched kernel and android version can cause the M bootloop and a drained battery can do the same.

Which recovery tool are you using, Clockwork or SPRecovery? You can apply an update.zip file to get your phone back to stock. You also can use RSD Lite with a windows computer to flash an SBF file to get back to stock.

SBF to root and to unroot box option 6 has the update.zip file that you can use.

Let us know if that works and there's a real good chance your phone is not toast, if that helps
