How do I export Contacts from My Droid to my PC/outlook?
I would like to export/edit my contacts that are on my phone and get them onto my computer for a back, to edit them, to input/import them into outlook.
Can this be done and how?
Is there something I can download or a backup assistant?

I think you have to have and exchange account or pay for a third party application. I am having trouble with this too. I decided to dump outlook and go for Google Calendar. I'm not at a business that requires outlook though.

You can sync with Google mail or sync with exchange server, then it should be synced.
-
If you log into the GMail and click on Contacts you can export from there.
You should be able to export as a CSV file and import into Outlook or Excel for backup. I do tihs once and a while JUST IN CASE anything happens to my GMail account or anything.

Backup your system (on the phone) and then log into your gmail account and export from there. Should be that simple, haven't tried it though.
-
Correct, just login to GMail Contacts and export your contacts from there.
There are a few formats, but I choose CSV and than am able to edit in Outlook. I do this every other week just in case something happens to my phone/GMail account.
-
correct, first export contacts from outlook to .csv save to directory then import file to gmail contacts and you're all set

from droid to outlook
i can import/export from gmail and outlook fine. i cannot get my contacts from my DROID to gmail/outlook.
I press the Menu button and export my contacts to my SD card.
Now when the autoplay window comes up, i select "open folder to view files using windows explorer," it only gives me ONE seemingly random vCard file. i have about 500 that should be there. How do I get all of them? what am i not doing? thanks for any help
-
That one vCard file should (and probably does) contain ALL your contacts in that one vCard file.
If the contacts on your Droid and in GMail are always sync'd whats the difference between exporting from GMail and exporting from the Droid? Get what I am saying?
