    (this will not remove shutter focus sound as that is hardware and not a sound file)
    Haha, i had to lean back in my chair to read this. Size 6 necessary? Im not blind yet.

    or you could just simply remove the sound files?

    rm /system/media/audio/ui/camera_click.ogg
    rm /system/media/audio/ui/videorecord.ogg

    My camera works fine and I remove the entire directory /system/media/
