    Removing gmail from phone but not server

    Is there a way to delete an email from the phone and not from your gmail account?
    I thought you could do this when you set up your gmail account on the phone but I cannot find that option.

    i dont know if its possible.... why not just archive it..


    when archived it wont show in your inbox but if you ever search for it youll be able to find it.

    If I archive it on the Droid it gets archived on the server as well and than I have to search for it. I want to leave the email in my INBOX on my computer just not on the phone.
