edit: i have no experimented with starting to type out the name and it puts in their number. i know WinMo does this as i had it in my Tilt -

12-07-2009 08:45 PMUse "messaging" from the app menu and place it on your home screen. Typing the name will remember the contact. Just another way to do it.

12-08-2009 03:29 AMwhen you start a new text message in the "to" field just start typing the name you want and it will show names with the letters you typed just touch the name and there you go. Quite handy and easy.

I have a contact whoes name will not auto fill when creating a new message. I already tried deleting it and recreating it. No luck. Any ideas?

04-14-2010 05:20 PMIf you send a lot or plan to txt this contact often you could always add a short cut direct message to that particular contact to one of your screens.
