I dunno I went to bed at 3:00 am to 10:20am and just woke up and it went from 70 percent in battery to 40 percent in power. Before update it didn"t do that. I pulled battery and and powered on and off numerous times. I have gde running and weatherbug running, no wifi on, and gps is always on. So I dunno whats up...................... Sorry dude just woke up I hope I fixed the post for you

Hmm. Could you edit this stream of consciousness with a little punctuation? I'd love to offer my advice, but I can't really figure out what you're asking.

Got my update at 10:00 this morning. Contacts okay, Beautiful Widgets temp is off, browser scrolling choppier, virtual keyboard landscape about the same. I liked the original lock screen. This one is just okay. My phone was perfect before. Actually, I don't think this keyboard is as good as it was.

The new Lag issue in the Browser from 2.0.1 is getting attention, but I want to make more people aware of it so we can all report it.
I didn't notice it first, but the more I started using the browser on different sites it's very apparent.
I posted the details the video demonstrating it below:

I really miss the white frames. They looked so good on the metallic black screen. The black frames don't show up at all. Haven't tried camera yet, but looking forward to shutter timing fix.
I forced the update a couple of days ago and I've been noticing better signal strength at my house. I don't know anyone else that can get a signal up here, even on other vzw phones, but my calls are pretty clear.

Having said that, Im not disappointed at ALL... Im sure there are a lot of things embedded in it that will be helpful today and going forward (cant tell anything about battery YET, but Ill keep an eye on that). Im glad that Verizon/Moto/Google are keeping the Droid current. I just dont know that there was a whole lot of user visible bang in this update (which would be expected given its 2.0.1 - indicates a pretty minor update.

You could silence phone on old screen by moving the arch counterclockwise. It took a while for me to discover that, which is probably why they changed it. More visible feature now with two arrows. I find it takes more finger/thumb pressure to lock/unlock now. Odd.

Dolphin browser skips and lags a bit on alldroid as well.

My gallery shortcut wasn't working after the update (the shortcut would show, but when I selected it, it would say the gallery was not installed on this phone). I never used a galler replacement or anything. I removed it from the homescreen and put it back on, now it's fine. Just sharing in case anyone has had similar issues.
Otherwise, I'd say the notification panel pull-down is a little smoother. Camera has less lag, although quality is just as poor as its been. I've had odd lag on other things (opening aps, creating shortcuts) but nothing persistant. Otherwise, besides the widgets looking different and the lock screen, no real changes for the better or worse.

Got the update this am. Like the new lock screen, does seem faster over all. No settings changes that I can see, everything jsut as it was before the update, other than the gallery short cut, which has been mentioned numerous times already. But, I just had the phone lock up on me when trying to answer a call. Screen went blank, and it jsut kept ringing and vibrating, with no way to answer. First time this has ever happened to me. Anyone else seeing this?

Whew....I went through all pages just i didn't post a repost.
FINDING:
Battery charge time is MUCH longer. But this is OK. Maybe its more fully charging the battery...maybe its doing a slower but better charge. Who knows. One thing for sure. My phone has basically been on the dock all morning..from 8:30am till now..11:45am. It was in the "yellow" zone when I put it on..so what...20%-ish. Now its at 70%.
It NEVER took this long to charge. Again..this is OK by me since everyone is posting about better life.
Is the battery just being better charged? OR...is it using its power more effectively?
Or both...
Either way..new finding.
Comments?
