    youtube search

    this has probably been answered somewhere but i can't find where it's posted or an answer. is there a way when searching on the youtube app to get the actual videos to come up instead of unrelated ones? like official music videos? searching on a computer vs. searching on the youtube app brings up completely different vidoes. is there a way around this on the droid x? even going to youtube.com on the phone takes you to the horrible mobile search. thanks!

    Not until you get 2.2

    I use the Dolphin HD browser on my Droid 1 and it will allow you switch the user agent to "desktop" then you can search youtube.com just like on a PC. And with 2.2 flash 10.1 is used so you can see all the videos. However the viewing experience leaves a little to be desired.

    Unfortunately with android 2.1 youre stuck with youtube mobile.

    Glad I searched, I was wondering about this as well.

    So 2.2 will give you the same search results as a pc will?

    Only while using a browser that will allow you to change the "user agent". Using the youtube app or the stock browser(with android as the "user agent") will still result in mobile search results.
