    How do you cancel visual voicemail on the moto droid?

    I switched to gv and would like to get rid of the verizon visual voicemail service.

    You can do it from your account settings on VerizonWireless.com or dial 611 on your phone.

    Just out of curiosity, why GV and not the GoogleVoice app? I know some people liked GV better, but it is no longer supported by the developer.

    Yeah thats what im using, the google voice app. Thats what most of us are meaning when we say gv.

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but GV is by invite only correct?

    Yes, it is by invitation only... but assuming you do not know anybody that has an invitation to send (they do not give users many), if you go sign up to be notified, you will get an invitation in about 3-4 weeks (at least that is the way it seems to be working these days).
