"G" network icon?

    "G" network icon?

    I just noticed that in the notification bar, the 3G network icon that's usually there is now just "G". I looked it up, and apparently it's meant to show when it's connected to a GPRS network. Verizon doesn't even have GPRS though, and it shows full signal strength. Is this a glitch or what?

    This happened to my droid once too, very briefly, and hasn't happened since. It must be a software glitch.

    Interesting, it's been like this for over 10 minutes. I'm getting fast speeds still so I guess it is just a bug. Wonder why it would think it was on a GPRS network though.
