    That bites, but at least they're giving you a replacement. Some phones just can't handle the new kernel speeds or something.

    Did they let you keep the original phone, though? If so, I know someone who wants a Droid-shaped paperweight...

    are you using basic LauncherPro or LauncherPro plus? I am using LP, Beautiful Widgets, Pure Calendar widget, and Folder Organizer, that's all for widgets.

    Never received the OTA...

    ...so I decided to manually install 2.2

    ...best decision I've ever made. Its the same thing everyone else has. And its super easy, so its no way you can really mess up. Took like 5 minutes for the whole process.

    ...I did everything straight from my phone. Never even needed a computer. Highly recommended

    Regulator, are you using another computer? 5 words before NOTHING ELSE you say " rename. It already says update. PHONE ONLY UPDATES

    No you can't unless you have the update ready to down load. I live near Sacramento CA. and we won't get the update to the end of the month and maybe early next month. This is from my Verizon store. He also said it needs 80% of your battery left and can take 30 minutes to a couple of hours? I wonder does anyone at the Verizon store really know what going on?

    The good news is they have 6x of the extended D2 batteries with new back plate.

    No, they don't. 80% is recommended but the official VZW instructions say 60%. As low as 20% with it plugged into the wall charger, but I wouldn't dare.

    It doesn't take anywhere NEAR 30 minutes, let alone an hour or more!
