Pretty big issue, HELP!

So I had to get a replacement Moto Droid. I know you have to have a Google account to use it. But i cannot for the life of me remember my account name or password. I didnt use it for ANYTHING since i got it in November. Will I be able to use the phone without logging into Google? Is there a way i can contact Google to help solve this? I looked around googles website for the last two days trying to find some contact info, but it seems non-existant.... Any help is appreciated!

Is no big deal, just create a new account righ from the phone and you be good.

The only drawback to that is paid apps, if he bought anything in the market they are tied to the original account.

The only way I know of to recover a forgotten username is with this: https://www.google.com/accounts/Forg...&fuOnly=1&dEM=

You have to have given Google an alternate email address when signing up for the account, and you have to remember what that alternate is to get the account back.

If you can remember the screen name you used to log into google you can try to use the "forgot password" option on the google mail web site. That way if you get back into your account. Otherwise any of your paid apps that were linked with your original account will be lost if you set up another account. Also, your contact are syncd with the original account.

Thanks for the replies guys. I had backed my apps up on my SD card so i just downloaded my paid apps from there. Will probably go buy them again eventually, just to updates. I wasnt too worried about Apps though, mainly I wanted my contacts. I did end up creating a new account so for a while (30 mins) I didnt have my contacts, but when I went into the contacts app, I syncd all contacts and it grabbed all of my contacts from my SD card. Im only missing some contacts I have added recently, which i am perfectly fine with.

So it all turned out alright Thanks again for the replies!

There is a way. Sorry I can't remember how though. My girlfriend forgot her google account name and password for her Droid. After a bunch of messing around on the gmail site. I was able to recover it.
