I only recently started using soo much data because i have been using it to connect to Xbox live and play on my 360. I have been averaging, i would say, 6-12 gigs a day depending on how long i play and my family plays (i let them play too) and my bill has always stayed at a steady 130 a month.

Those two quotes are the reason Verizon will be having tiered data plans. smh
Exactly. People who abuse the data is why they wont be giving unlimited data anymore once LTE rolls out.

ummm misterdude28@gmail.com... you had better hope no Verizon employees decide to look you up with your gmail name. Probably flag your account.

I recently went into one of the authorized dealer stores for Verizon and they told me that the Verizon Rep was in there a few days ago and told them that they do not foresee changing this any time in the near future and that they should use the unlimited plan as a competitive edge over AT&T.
Also, if you see any of the leaked catalogues online for Verizon's fall lineup, they still have unlimited plans in there.
It may happen eventually, but I think we are safe at least until the end of the year.

My thoughts exactly. I hope this gmail account is not synced to his device!

Simple economics - as high of a price point as the market will permit. I would think they may follow the AT&T model and eliminate "unlimited" all together.

The only positive I see from this is VZ probably having to redo all existing unlimited data contracts. This could lead to phone upgrade opportunities or even a chance to opt out of a deal altogether with no penalty.
Although I see opportunity in this horrible information, who will be responsible when an unremovable system app on a VZ phone accesses mobile data unknowingly in the background and breaks the ceiling on your data plan?
Just something to ponder...

most likely with the LTE rollout end of the year.. if you buy an 4g equipped phone probably

I wish that Verizon would adopt the AT&T data plans. I use less than 200 MB a month and would love to have my data plan reduced to $15 monthly. The $30 fee is the only reason that my wife has not gotten a PDA phone and still uses her old Palm PDA and her old phone. If Verizon would go to $15 for 200 MB then we would both be able to have PDA phones for the same cost as we now pay. It's not worth it for us to spend another $30 for a data plan for her. I bet that at least 80% of customers are in the same boat as me.
