Contacts editor?

i'm also having trouble with renaming. i have changed the name on a contact at least 15 times and it remains the old name in my contacts list. this is driving me batty!

Try editing contacts in Gmail from a PC. Maybe you have duplicates or something. Tip: If you add contact addresses then you can Navigate to a contact with voice -- very cool.

i've done that over and over and over...i think it has something to do with synching to facebook...arg.

yeah im having the same Prob.
I synced my concasts through Facebook
and i can't go back in and edit any of them, to add numbers and such that Arent already on facebook... .anyone have any ideas..?

That actually would make sense. If you edit a Facebook contact you're not going to update their info (on Facebook) so if you could edit the contact locally it would be constantly out of sync. Though it seems like there should be some sort of middle ground. You might need to unjoin the contact to edit. I can't say for certain as I specifically did not want Facebook sync.

facebook is a parasite. ;-p

I had my facebook synced on my BlackBerry and it was nothing but trouble. Destroyed my calenders, massacred my contacts, made my life hell. Even after uninstalling the facebook app, changing all my sync settings, reinstalling the OS, there were still problems.

After that I stay away from syncing with facebook. Google plays very nice with my info. Facebook seemed to want to take over.
