dont you think if its really cold outside, my phone would get cold and the vapor would turn into water or am I just being really crazy?

Same thing with it being hot... heat is not good for any device.

I do keep it in my glove department but I noticed its stil gets cold or hot.

It all depends on the temps in your area.... anywhere from 30-100 should be no issue at all.... hotter then that and I wouldn't leave it in the sun but colder should not effect it for only a few hours.

Here's why I wouldn't do it. I don't have a lot of experience with the Motorola Droid (obviously) but I do have a lot of experience with Lithium Ion (LIon) batteries. They are very susceptible to heat, temperatures over 100° F will greatly diminish their lifespan but that's not the worst...

An overheated Lithium Ion battery can explode and catch fire. Obviously, that would be bad for anything, even a Droid.

I sure wouldn't do it. A battery that explodes and catches fire in a car would kind of suck.

Wouldn't extreme cold be an issue too? Like for us here in New England?
