I wonder what Verizon thinks about this. I'd like to think they're probably not too happy about it, considering the fact that I read employees were threatened with termination as a consequence for showing a customer the Droid before it's officially released. They've been told to pretend like they don't have it, and play dumb.

My walmart told me the same thing, It took me about 25 minutes to get there and the first thing the lady says is "Sir I'm so sorry, I wish I would have had your phone number to tell you we can't" When I was on the phone with her to see if they could sell it, she even double checked. Not sure what happened during my 25 minute drive there, but the window closed for me. They did have it on display though, the dummy phone that is. They had no accessories and said they had not received them yet either, figured I'd atleast see if my drive was worth something.

I almost got it at Walmart. The CSR had it in hand and was about to start the process before the manager walked by and stopped it from happening. Idiot.

He said I could reserve it for pick up tomorrow, but their cell phone department didn't open until 9am. Meh.

Luckily I had a busy day so it went kind of fast. Gotta get up early and walk the dog and head out. If there's a line I'm cutting it. I got a scheduled appointment. Hope I don't get my ass kicked.
