5 icons on home screen

I'm not sure how I set it up to be on the homescreen in the 1st place and I can't find any settings to make it go away, but now I have 5 icons across the home screen horizontally in a white bar in the center. They're showing if I have wireless on, bluetooth on, brightness, etc... (if it's activated, there's a little green line below it)

I'd really prefer to not have that going across the screen. Anyone know how to get rid of it?

it's a widget. hold down on it and drag it down to the center of your phone at the trashcan til it turns red. it'll go away.

Long press ---> Drag it to the trash can

Of course, that's one of the more useful widgets that you'd be deleting. It's used to quickly toggle on and off the things that consume the most battery power on your phone.

To add it back, longpress on a blank spot on your homescreen, then select Widgets, then Power Control.
