? about returning droid...?

Does anyone know:

a. Will they replace my droid for it having dust under the screen and the head phone jack cuts in and out if I bump it?

b. Do the refurbished phones that verizon gives as replacement have the 2.01 firmware on them? I want to be able to reroot the phone with out the hassle of flashing it back to 2.01

I think dust under the screen and loose jack input fall under a category that verzion's going to tell you is your problem. If they will take it back you have completed a much harder task then flashing backward to gain root. Take what they offer and flash back, its pretty easy compared to getting a replacement phone for nothing.

Both are valid reason for a return under warranty. You will get a reconditioned unit.

I had a defect under the screen of my lg dare a few years ago and brought it to a verizon store. I had the phone for like 9-10 months and they gave me a brand new one right on the spot no questions! They said it was covered under 1 yr warranty.
