Cannot access Linksys router from laptop after tether
I decided to download Easy Tether last night to see if it is something that I could use to gain internet access while camping. It was a quick and easy download/setup and I was using the Droid for internet access. When I was good with it working, I went to switch back to using my wireless router and I could no longer connect to it. At this point, I unistalled the application from the laptop, rebooted the laptop, router and modem.....still no connection. When I use the ThinkVantage Access Connection, it never even finds the linksys router and I cannot seem to create a new connection. The Droid still see's it loud and clear and it is the connection I am currently using to type this (I reloaded easy tether so I could get online). I even tried using the cd-rom that came with the router and it still doesn't work. I am not super computer savy and I am not sure what to do at this point. The laptop is an older IBM Thinkpad running windows xp with service pack 3 installed. I have roadrunner through time warner. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Ok...I unistalled the wireless network device, rebooted the computer and allow it to reinstall the device. This got my linksys router working again
BUT the Easy Tether is no longer working
So I don't know if I am going to have to go through this everytime I want to use the Easy Tether. It's not a big deal I guess, I was just hoping it would be as easy as connecting the phone and click, click and then later click, click and disconnect the phone. Is there something I can do to make these two play nicely together?

Sounds like Windows is running over itself with it's network connections. Easiest solution would be to disable whatever connections you're not using when you dont need them. Good luck.

Yes, this is the conclusion I cam to last night. I enable my wireless and my tether connection by disabling the ethernet port
So yea, I guess all things considered, it's not really that hard to do considering at this point using Easy Tether won't be happening all that often. Thanks for your input.
